My name is Mason Scioneaux, and I’m a junior from Vacherie, Louisiana, a small town in the southeastern part of the sate on the Mississippi River between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. While at Ole Miss, I have worked extensively with the Student Media Center, as a reporter and photographer for the Daily Mississippian, and also as a DJ for Rebel Radio. I believe my best reported story to be an article from the DM published just a few days before Election Day in October, three months ago. I reviewed Mississippi’s odd gubernatorial election standards, and with it being my most researched piece, as well as what I believe to be my best-reported, it stands among my favorite of my work, if not my best. I am truly proud of it. This is the link: https://thedmonline.com/how-a-130-year-old-rule-could-decide-mississippis-gubernatorial-election/
